ORDINATION TO THE ORDER OF DEACONS: Monty Bamford will be ordained as a transitional deacon for the Christchurch Diocese at 11:00 am on Saturday 18 September at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 16 Vermont Street, Auckland. Please keep him in your prayers.

YOUNG ADULTS GROUP: Come join us for Mass on Mondays at 5.30 pm at Sacred Heart Church and for a gathering after. We have  talks and discussions on various topics and then dinner.

SUNDAY GOSPEL SERIES WITH SR KATHLEEN RUSHTON: Thursday 19 August, 7.30 – 9pm at Catherine McAuley Centre at Villa Maria College. In the context of lectio divina, this session will focus on hearing both the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor in the Sunday Gospel Readings from 29 August to 21 November. A CULTURE OF SAFEGUARDING: The Church is striving towards a culture of safeguarding where all are safe from harm and abuse and where every person is encouraged and enabled to enjoy the fullness of life in Jesus Christ through nurturing, supportive and protective endeavours of the Church community, both individually and collectively. In order to create a culture of safeguarding we need to build a culture of trust, openness, transparency, responsibility and accountability.
